Make studio quality recordings Anywhere
PivotMic PM1 is a matched pair of XY Stereo condenser microphones that turns your MixerFace R4 into a professional field recorder. Housed in a metal chassis, they complement our own MixerFace, known for its tough, road-ready design. PivotMics are perfectly matched to its acclaimed Jasmine™ preamp.
Using Japanese precision technology in capsule manufacturing results in tightly controlled frequency response and lowest self-noise. PivotMics can reproduce the entire dynamic range of a symphony hall, in perfect fidelity. From the quietest passages, to the loudest notes, PivotMics deliver crisp, clear sound, with solid bass and extended highs.

Product Details
Low noise, High performance, High quality
The CEntrance PivotMic PM1 matched XY Stereo Pair is a pair of a premium, side-address, condenser microphones with a cardioid polar pattern, engineered for critical recording in a studio and in the field. With an extended frequency response, the PM1 provides truthful, transparent reproduction of the original sound source. A wide dynamic range allows the PM1 to handle high sound pressure levels (SPL) associated with drums, percussion, and ensembles, while the low self-noise allows to use it in quiet environments, such as nature recordings. Cardioid polar pattern reduces the pickup of unwanted sounds.
small form factor
By transforming your smartphone into a portable recording studio the CEntrance MixerFace creates an end-to-end mobile recording solution for journalists, podcasters, voiceover artists, videographers and touring musicians — anyone who records on the go. The PivotMic PM1 matched SY stereo pair adds a high quality transducer in a small footprint, creating a studio-quality recording solution for mobile use. Each PivotMic slides right into the female XLR combo jack of the MixerFace, almost disappearing due to their short length of only 2 inches and creating a compact, professional recording solution. PivotMic PM1 mics are also perfect for use with an XLR cable. They don’t add much weight and therefore could be used suspended in the air above a theater stage, or in any other production where a small, unobtrusive condenser microphone with wide dynamic range and frequency response is needed.
modern technology
Each PivotMic PM1 Features Class A, transformerless preamplifier circuitry, which eliminates cross-over distortion for improved linearity across the full frequency range. Superior build construction withstands daily use on the stage or in the field. Precision Japanese technology in capsule manufacturing helps to extend the low frequency performance for a small, 10mm condenser capsule and achieve wide dynamic range, normally associated with microphones 3-5 times the price. Integrated “pop” protection grille reduces plosives and other breath noises, when the microphones are used in close proximity to the subject/performer, for interviews or to capture singing.

Key features

Awesome in the Studio
PivotMics are small, so you can use them anywhere in the studio — under the snare drum, miking a cab, for overheads, etc. The flat frequency response of our amplifiers and the low self-noise of the precise, Japanese-made electret condenser cartridges combine for an excellent studio mic that will give you years of awesome recordings!

XY Stereo Mode
Capture that concert, foley effect or ambient sound anywhere. XY stereo mode does just that. Rest assured, our custom-tailored frequency response and super-quiet circuitry will keep the noise down, while preserving the audio in it’s clearest form, the way it happens. We made these microphones truthful, which means great for speech and music.

Interview Mode
With MixerFace, PivotMics can be inserted two ways. In the standard configuration you get a precision matched XY stereo pair. But if you take the mics out of the XLR sockets, turn them around and plug in the opposite way, they will turn your MixerFace into a perfect tool for taking interviews. How neat is that!

Standard XLR jack
We made these mics to be compatible with the XLR standard, so you can use them at the end of a cable. Suspend from the ceiling above the stage, hang off the guitar amp or use to mic a cabinet. Many options for use and a lot of flexibility due to the small size and almost no weight.

Hear Every Detail
Both of these things hear well, but PivotMics have XLR jacks and are much easier to use! And, as you can see, they are even smaller than a mouse! Consuming less than 2 mA of current, these mics add almost no weight and are very efficient. When used in the field with the MixerFace they will let you work longer without pausing for a recharge.
