Film Riot Pairs MixerFace with Blackmagic Camera
This Just In!
The talented Ryan Connolly, creator/host of the popular filmmaking show Film Riot, has published a new video featuring our MixerFace R4R. MixerFace was featured in Ryan Connolly’s review of the amazingly powerful Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4k— a revolutionary handheld cinema camera which facilitates professional quality filmmaking on the go. In his review Ryan suggests pairing the Blackmagic camera with the MixerFace when looking to match the premium video quality with audio quality of the same standard.
In his Blackmagic review, Ryan Connolly complimented MixerFace’s easy compatibility to common portable filming rigs via MixerFace’s built-in mounting hole and 3.5mm jacks. He was also a fan of useful features such as the true phantom power, high pass filters, and of course- the excellent preamps which propel the audio quality to professional standards. Last but certainly not least, R4R’s built-in SD card recorder proved to be especially useful for Ryan, as it allows him to record his audio to both the camera and the MixerFace for redundancy.
The Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K provides all the essential professional features needed for independent filmmaking in a portable form factor and at an accessible price. Our MixerFace is the ideal compliment to the camera as it shares the same qualities for the audio side of production. Whether you are shooting an independent film or documentary, travel blog, fashion show, web videos, weddings, corporate videos, sports, or anything else— the combination of Blackmagic and MixerFace will get you top notch results.
