Thanks for all the good comments, guys – really appreciate the support.

Our M8 schedule is now captured in Gantt format and will be plastered on our walls tomorrow.

We are using this as an internal restraint mechanism. There are a couple of trade shows that this schedule is tied to.

Specifically on our radar is the Tokyo Headphone show (05/11). We will be working vigilantly to meet the schedule and remove distractions to have working units at that show.

We need the support of the entire team here to make sure that nobody slacks off with their deliverables, including your humble servant.

The rest of the team has been given permission to throw non-sharp objects at yours truly if he’s not making a delivery date with schematics, PCBs, other documentation, etc. Let’s see how that works out.

Speaking of distractions, we have this concept of a “squirrel” in the office. Anything that distracts us from our main objective  at the moment is a squirrel.

It’s amazing how often they show up — the phones ringing, the emails rushing in, that tea break that just needs to be had, etc. Squirrels are everywhere, so we have jokingly established a Squirrel Squelching Squad (SQ3). It’s a task force which notices and fights off the pesky rodent distractions.

With fewer squirrels and concentrated effort, we’ll make it happen!
