Audio for Video

OK, if you're a songwriter you may want to make a video of yourself performing your song. Your phone can make a nice video but capturing the audio with your phone's mic is, well … awful. MixerFace can grab control of the audio recording process in your video recording app and seamlessly apply the professional audio results to your video. Now you can post your song on YouTube™ and have it sound great. And there is a host of other Audio for Video applications that the Mixerface R4 can fulfill.

Post Production

If you mix and produce what you've recorded using Pro Tools, Logic, Ableton or some other high end DAW, MixerFace can serve as your desktop or laptop interface. MixerFace can connect to your PC or Apple computer like any traditional hi-end audio recording interface and its balanced outputs can go right to your studio monitors. The R4 top panel monitor pot becomes your room listening volume control. Now that's flexibility!

When music comes it's nothing less than magic … real magic. The closer you can get to capturing the initial inspiration, the purer and more emotional the music will be. But that moment of inspiration is often fleeting. Precious moments lost can cost you the groove, the feel, the emotion, the lyric and too often the basic idea itself. Getting your gear setup to capture those crucial moments can take too long, is often very cumbersome and basically not fun... Until now! It's all about the music and the MixerFace R4™ is instantly ready to capture your audio anywhere, anytime - the moment inspiration hits.

    Capture the Moment

Set an R4 on your coffee table, connect a mic and the phone, start your favorite recording app and you're capturing … it's that easy! Have a particular vocal mic that suits your voice? No problem. Mixerface has 2 XLR inputs with 48v phantom power to accommodate any high-end condenser. The custom designed Jasmine Mic Pres™ deliver a world class signal, designed to capture every nuance of the performance. MixerFace R4is a professional Mobile Recording Interface™. It delivers brodcast-level audio quality.

Because the R4 has a high capacity rechargeable internal battery no wall plug is needed. The battery will work for 8 hours before needing a refill and your standard USB charger will charge it. It's the internal battery that allows MixerFace to provide true 48v phantom and lets it work with a phone or tablet without wall power. Without the battery, it isn't mobile.

Take the Show on the Road

MixerFace R4 has two Neutrik™ combo inputs which accommodate microphones line level instruments, guitars or bases. You can plug your guitar straight in. R4 also has an Auxiliary stereo input that can be conveniently mixed in right on the top panel. So if you want to add a drum machine or another mixer, it's there — R4 has Balanced outputs, an Unbalanced stereo output and a Headphone output. The top panel gives easy access to all of the adjustments with familiar analog pots. No searching through menu pages to find the right adjustment — quick and easy control is always at your fingertips. R4 can work as a Mixer even if you're not using it to record!

Bit-4-Bit Digital Audio

With over 100 licensing clients under our belt (Benchmark, McIntosh, Lavry, others), CEntrance wrote the book on USB audio. We designed DACportable as a true 32-bit device, ensuring"bit-for-bit" audio fidelity, at all supported sample rates, across all supported OSs.

Precision Clock Oscillator

The art of digital-to-audio conversion is in the quality of the clock. CEntrance's clock management system uses military spec clock oscillators with 10ppm precision. Our JitterGuard™ clock cleanup system earned us enthusaistic reviews from Stereophile and dozens of other audio publications.

Class A Headphone Amp

Capacitors introduce distortion. DACport's Class-A audio circuit is direct-coupled (capacitor-free), maintaining audiophile quality all the way to the headphones.

18V internal power

DACport's advanced, low-distortion Class-A amplifier circuit runs on super-clean 18V rails (±9V, bipolar supply). Higher voltage means lower distortion, higher headroom and more output power to drive any headphones.

RoHS Compliant

Our products are sold all over the world and we go to great lengths to ensure compliance with international regulations. DACportable is RoHS, FCC and CE-compliant, which ensures safety and protects our environment.

Made in America

DACportable is designed and assembled by CEntrance in USA from components sourced from around the world. When you purchase our products you are bringing manufacturing jobs back to America. Thank you for your support!

Press Reviews

"Mission Impossible: An audiophile-worthy Bluetooth portable headphone amp."

"If you have a decent wired headphone, BlueDAC will likely make it sound better than you've heard it sound before... if you own a recent iPhone that lacks a 3.5mm headphone jack, and have a set of expensive wired headphones, BlueDAC would be a wise investment."

- Steve Guttenberg, CNET

Digital Audio Review

"What a find!"

"Bluetooth from iPhone to BlueDAC convincingly outperforms a direct-wired connection that relies on the Apple’s inferior D/A conversion and headphone circuitry."

- Jon Darko, DAR

Bad Guy Good Audio

"This looks like a real winner!"

"Very powerful device!..."Very easy to pair"

- Chris B, Bad Guy, Good Audio
