It is never easy identifying the output for headphones and comparing alternative products. If we take the extreme of different headphones - 60 ohms and 300 ohms (eg AKG702 and Senn 800) could you advise what the headphone power out would be for each of these from the DACPort (and from the DACmini also please?)

What specific products are you comparing to? I'm not sure about the nature of your request. If you have a particular question about comparing to another product, this may be best taken to a private email exchange because we don't want to bring other products into our forum.
For DACport, the headphone output power, as stated on our website is 1.5W (total), drives 600 Ohm headphones. We don't list the power per individual headphones. As of today, the specs for DACmini are subject to change, since it's not shipping yet and we continue to improve the design.
